With a brilliant performance, the alluring Mansha Pasha plays the lead character of Laal Kabootar, “Aliya Malik”.

Aliya Malik’s life is turned upside down. Strong-headed to the point of being stubborn, she chooses to put up a fight even though her life is on the line, after she has only two ways, either to accept her fate, or to take it in her own hands.

The charismatic Ahmed Ali Akbar went an extra mile in his portrayal of the lead character as “Adeel”, in the film.

A hustling taxi-driver, looking for a way out of Karachi, Adeel has a trick up his sleeve. But with his back against the wall, is Adeel willing to pay the ultimate price?

Mansha had earlier said that, “Laal Kabootar is about a female protagonist who goes through ‘something’ in life… and the story is about how she overcomes that.”

“Nehr Ghar” is a venture by brother-sister duo Kamil and Hania Chima aims to focus on “making feature films that excite and push boundaries.”

The Chima siblings set up Nehr Ghar after returning from Harvard and have big plans for Pakistan’s entertainment industry.

“Be it through romance or comedy, drama or thrill, we want to capture the magic of life as we see it. This is such an exciting space and it is crazy that we get to do this for a living.”

The poster sports the same red background as the announcement poster, this time with the leads dressed in autumn shades, reminding us of sepia tones which add to the overall mystery thriller vibe the film is said to carry.

The film also stars Ali Kazmi as a journalist that is “a very intense, clever guy but also very fun-loving. He doesn’t like talking about work outside of work. He’s very quirky and loves his wife more than life itself.”
