The only deriving force responsible for worldly affairs, either good or bad, is humanity and interrelations. The term ‘Humanity’ reflects peace into our minds and ultimately to the world, if practiced in a ‘rightly’ manner free from treachery and deceitfulness. It could happen if it keeps functioning on the basic principle of ‘right’ or ‘wrong’.
We declare that the only deity deserving of worship is Allah and Prophet Muhammad (SAWW) is his last prophet. Allah sent the Quran as ‘Final Guidance’, which entails the ultimate set of instructions for all human race via Prophet Muhammad (SAWW). And we seek refuge with Him from the ills and evils of our own souls and from worldly affairs.
“Who created death and life that He might try you as to which of you is better in deed. He is the Most Mighty, the Most Forgiving”.
[Surah Mulk, chapter 67, verse 2].
Quran demonstrates the significance of our duty as Muslims to do good deeds. Merely, this life is a test. However, unfortunately, the lust of maneuvering worldly affairs has deeply penetrated into our hearts, which advocates the need to revisit the ultimate guidance and have a reality check on ourselves over where we are wandering, or have we lost track?
“And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided”.
[Surah Al-Imran; chapter 3, verse 103].
Today, for decades, Muslims are witnessing violent destruction, bloodshed, casualties, and occupied and oppressed lives in the name of ‘war on terror’. The world has lost its morality, and how ugly it is to see that the West has unveiled its mask of human rights` protagonists. As per the international news agency reports, data shows how the US and its allies acted like killer machine-guns and remained disregardful of innocent civilian lives in the masses, specifically children and women. More than 4.3 million civilians have been killed in post-9/11 war zones in Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen, Syria, and Pakistan, with the majority of child casualties caused by US-led international forces that went uninvestigated without any official scrutiny . Yet they call resistance fighters ‘terrorists’ and feel insecure from them. Really? Those are those who need to feel insecure?
Today, a world-wide focused war in Gaza, which endangered the peace of the world and resulted in a global outburst, turned into massive pro-Palestinian protests. Israel`s determination to massacring Palestinians and butchering their generations all day and night is setting up a new low of heinous, horrible, and unprecedented criminal record on a separate level. In Gaza, death is a blessing, and for the wounded, it is a death sentence. They consider Palestinians no less than animals, as per their own official statements. Their cruelty has marked its seventh month, and no one has reached its boiling point in order to taste Israel’s own medicine. This has put a big question mark on the role of Muslim leaders and the absence of their collective efforts in this dire need of our defenseless Palestinian brothers, sisters, and innocent children; other than the photo-sessions, round trips, meaningless conferences, and negotiations, all these lead to nowhere but continuous failures to stop the wild and oppressed.
On the other end, we see continuous roundtrips of the US, who is a self-proclaimed human rights defender, a self-styled protagonist of self-determination and rights to freedom, showcasing frequent visits to Israel and back to the Middle East, meeting Muslim leaders, acting pro-actively, carrying out high-profile meetings, negotiations and mediations, joint conferences, and so on. Did any of such events remain successful in ending the hostilities of Israel in the Gaza Strip? Categorically, No!
This whole process actually reminds me of what Allah mentions in Quran about the traits of Jews of that time.
[Surah Baqarah, chapter 2, verse 14]
“And when they meet those who believe, they say, “We believe,” but when they are alone with their evil ones, they say, “Indeed, we are with you; we were only mockers.”
The message we could get with respect to today`s perspective is that hypocrites profess to be their friends and loyalists when they get together with a particular group. They attempt to make promises, mislead, misdirect, and deceive them in some way because they hope to share in any potential gains and benefits. And when they meet with another group, they embrace their benefits too. Moreover, we grieve over the good-for-nothing role of human rights organizations as well as sheer disappointment to see how political, legal and UN institutions remained incapable of dutifully intervening and stopping the following multiple failed resolutions. What purpose do they serve? What remain of moral value of their existence?
Besides, Muslim leaders appear to be relying on the success of negotiations as only way to stop this. Being spectator of current situation in Gaza, they are no less than complicit in this genocide, where more than 35,000 civilians are mercilessly killed, more than 78,000 are wounded, healthcare system has been annihilated, and thousands have been deprived of educational resources after being bombed. We further foresee no accountability or official scrutiny over this huge loss and suffering, followed by international law`s violations. Will they ever be held accountable? Now on what moral ground could we expect from these Zionists to be respectful towards negotiations, What world wants! Things have gone too far from holding negotiations. They should be taught a lesson in a language they understand. Trusting Zionists will never benefit us where their own history is filled to an infinite extent of their deception and betrayal.
“When it is said to them, “Believe in that which Allah has sent down,” they say, “We believe only in that which has been sent to us”, and reject everything else, though it is the Truth and confirms what is with them. Well, ask them, “If you sincerely believed in what was sent down to you, why did you kill the Messengers of Allah (who were sent to you from amongst yourselves)”?
[Surah Baqarah, chapter 2, verse 91]
Further, we need to do a quick reality check on ourselves to see what made us so weak against the tyrant. Whether the love of the world has made us divided, arrogant, so apathetic? We need to revive our morals and our faith, right in the direction of what Allah has guided us.
Say: ” The pleasure of this world is temporary; the Hereafter is the best place for those who follow the correct path; you will never, at the very least, be treated unfairly. Death will find you wherever you are, even if you are in tall, sturdy towers!”
[Surah Nisa: chapter 4, verses 77–78]
The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) once said: The people will soon summon one another to attack you as people, When eating, invite others to share their dish. Someone asked: Will that be because of our small numbers at that time? He replied: No, you will be numerous at that time: but you will be scum and rubbish like that carried down by a torrent, and Allah will take fear of you from the breasts of your enemy and last enervation into your hearts. Someone asked: What is wahn (enervation). Messenger of Allah (ﷺ): He replied: Love of the world and dislike of death.
[Dawood: 4297].
Just like when Corona virus hit the world, the cure was itself the corona vaccine. Similarly, we need to treat this al-wahn by eliminating the fear of death and overcoming the love of the world. May Allah heal our hearts from al-wahn, restore our condition, support us in adhering to guided principles, and grant us the benefits of one Ummah.
indeed a good piece of writing, Muslims do need a reality check.
may Allah guide us.
Dear Nida,
Very well written article covering the current muslims issues, not only this you have also truly summarised the western hypocrisy going on from decades.
Beautifully written!!! by reading this I’m really sad to see where we all are standing and seeing this genocide going on..may ALLAH guide us all towards the right path AMEEN
The change will come from ‘ mimber and mehrab’. Unfortunatly, the places from where Muslim leaders used to rule the world once, are now been used to spread hatred and evil. If any one wants to see how morally, ethically and religiously we are downgraded, see the recent example of the helicopter crash in our neighbouring Muslim country. Social media and local chit chats are full of shamefull comments.
Palestine where we have our ‘Qibla e Awal’
was the testing point for us ( so called Ummah), to see if we have some honor and self respect left.
They will come for Makkah and Medina soon, if we keep on sitting like am idols. We need an immediate wakeup call first for our innerself , as a nation ,as a Muslim and as a Ummah.!
agreed with the thought of this article, awsome
Well, this is the reality but i wonder what we can do what should we do? being an ordinary citizen OF A PAKISTAN ( where we can’t fight for our basic human rights), nothing is in our hands except opening our eyes and bring positive change in ourself specially we can at least walk on righteous way or try to. May Allah show us sirat al mustaqim.
