Palestine Israel Muslim World Islamic Nations Silence

It has been almost three months since the Israel-Hamas war began, during which more than 20,000 Palestinians have been killed. Initially, when the bombing of Gaza started, the whole world raised a voice against it. Islamic countries condemned it. Countries that were planning to establish relations with Israel have withheld their decisions and continued to condemn Israel, urging the international community to pay attention to the issue. The heads of many countries, especially the foreign minister of Iran, continued to visit Arab countries and ask them to unite and take action against Israel.

There was a lot of noise against these actions in the media, too. Many programs were held on Israel’s cruel actions and the victimization of Palestinians, but gradually everything started to return to normal. Israel has not allowed anything to return to normal in the war; it is constantly bombing Palestinians. Hospitals are under siege, patients and wounded in hospitals are not spared, and hundreds of Palestinians are killed on a daily basis. The continuous bombing of civilians and residential areas continues, many mosques have been destroyed, and the siege of Gaza persists without any relaxation.

Islamic countries and their media are growing tired of covering, condemning, and appealing to stop the war. Their primary responsibility was to join Hamas as soon as Israel attacked Gaza, standing together to resist Israel’s actions. Despite possessing significant weapons, missiles, atomic bombs, and experienced armies, twenty thousand Muslims were killed within two months, and the response remained limited to condemnations.

Over 20,000 Palestinians have been killed in just two months, yet the response from over 55 Islamic countries remains confined to mere condemnations, a shameful inaction.

It is a matter of shame for us, and it is a place of drowning for more than 55 Islamic countries that, despite their large number, are witnessing 20 thousand Muslims being killed without taking significant action. No one seems to care, and everyone appears to be intoxicated with power. The oppression against Muslims doesn’t seem to bother anyone, and we are merely spectators, enjoying the spectacle.

If direct participation in the war is not feasible due to cowardice, at least continue raising our voices for them. Keep advocating for their rights in all international forums. Utilize print, electronic, and social media to continuously talk about the rights of Palestinians. Don’t forget them after raising your voice for just a couple of days; persist until they secure their rights or, at the very least, a ceasefire.
